Care Suggestions
The more you baby any item of clothing, the longer it lasts--heat and friction shorten the life span of any garment. To extend the life of any item of clothing, avoid heat, and avoid friction with rough fabrics or trims. Here's how I care for my Take My Hand clothing:
- Separate laundry--only wash with other soft clothing. Denim, towels, velcro, and hook closures go in a separate load
- Turn items inside out
- Fasten all snaps and zip all zippers on everything in the load
- Use a gentle laundry soap, like Tide Free & Clear
- Wash on the delicate or cold cycle
- Air dry, then fluff in the dryer on cool
- I use a Shout color catcher the first time I wash anything to catch any dye residue
